Having started out as a piano accompanist for voice lessons, then a musical director for many musicals, voice teacher, and a choral director, I love it all! First and Fairest: a song cycle for SSAA choir & soprano soloist

The song cycle First and Fairest is a setting of six poems by Elizabeth Barrett Browning, written for soprano soloist and women's choir. Below is a demo recording made with the Skylight Dance Theatre Singers, conducted by Kamel Boutros, featuring soprano, Awet Andemicael. The song cycle sheet music is available for purchase, either as a whole, or as individual movements. It was written for Skylight Dance Theatre and first performed at the Salvation Army's Theater 315 in Times Square, NYC in 2007. The piece is a setting of six poems by Elizabeth Barrett Browning which together tell a story of a woman's journey from heartbreak to

The piece is a setting of six poems by Elizabeth Barrett Browning which together tell a story of a woman's journey from heartbreak to healing. The sheet music is available for purchase by contacting me through the contact page, from which you'll receive an invoice with the price according to the size of your choir. It is recommended for a minimum of a 16-voice SSAA choir. The instrumentation is for piano, cello and violin.
